Since coming back from my trip I’ve just been working, I’ve completed and sold the first 10 hula girl resin boards, more to come soon. I’m watching Escape from New York, drinking a Hendricks and tonic with my girl, and looking forward to playing music again. I’d been waiting for the right project to come along, I think it has. I’m stoked that Summer is almost here.

a side note

My friend Devon Blood is one of those who loves traditional tattooing. Devon loves where it came from, pays it respect, does it for the right reasons. Tattooing gave him reason to live when he was shot in the head and in a coma for 12 days. He had to relearn to draw and tattoo with his left hand, putting him on his “left hand path” -he paints every day, types letters to friends on an old typewriter, and has a book coming out about his ordeal and his love for tattooing. He motivates me, reminds me of why I love this thing in the first place, and makes me keep doing it right, for the right reasons. Devon’s website is www.devonbloodtattoo.com

I’m staying in Burleigh Heads with Tim and Collette at the moment, been working at Borderline this week, as well as three days next week. I had the pleasure working at Dynamic Tattoo in Melbourne, Trevor McStay and his crew couldn’t have been nicer folks. 4 days in Sydney before that, I only visited one shop there -Inner Vision Tattoo.. top place. I’ll be flying home on March 19, back at Spider Murphys on the 20th.

the flight’s booked, I’m going for a month instead of three now.. I’m leaving the US Feb. 15, returning on March 19. I’ll be tattooing in Burleigh Heads only now, at Borderline tattoo, sometime between the 23rd of Feb, until a few days before I come home. Actual schedule to follow, along with photos of new tattoos.
